Application process closed

On 15 January 2015, the application process for GSP 2015 expired. Selection of the new batch will be completed by mid-February. All applicants who are eligible for the programme will be issued a certificate in order to apply for a visa. Candidates admitted into the programme will be informed in the second half of February.

Presidential board

A presidential board was formed in October 2014. Unfortunately, Hermann Schwengel was never able to take up his position as head of the board. As of now, the board comprises Anand Kumar (New Delhi), Ari Sitas (Cape Town) and Charit Thingsabadh (Bangkok).

Fellowships at JNU

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Government of India, offers 8 short term Merit-cum-Means fellowships (for one semester) to Global Studies Programme students at JNU, New Delhi, India

Meeting of the Steering Committee, 16 October 2014

The GSP steering committee met in Bangkok to discuss the next steps of further integration of research into the curriculum of the programme. Focus was the new PhD programme including options for long-term scholarships.
