Prof. Vivek Kumar will be heading the GSP at JNU in the next period.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is India’s leading university for social sciences and the most senior partner in the Global Studies Programme (GSP) network. GSP is hosted by the Center for the Study of Social Systems (CSSS) at the School of Social Sciences.

CSSS is well-known for its public intellectuals. An iconic figure, Prof. Anand Kumar, has directed the programme for several years. After Prof. Kumar’s retirement, we were honored by Prof. V. Sujatha’s and Prof. Maitrayee Chaudhuri’s cooperation with GSP. We would like to share our gratitude for their support and work!

It is our pleasure to announce that another prominent name with a focus on social inequality research, Prof. Vivek Kumar will be heading the GSP at JNU in the next period. Prof. Kumar will continue to teach the next cohort of GSPians.
