The Global Studies Programme was formally launched at Humboldt University on May 27. The inauguration was opened by Vice President for research Prof. Dr. Peter Frensch. Representatives from the diplomatic missions of India, Thailand, South Africa and Argentina expressed their support for Global Studies. The Ambassador of India Sujatha Singh was followed by the Ambassador of Thailand Nongnuth Phetcharatana. Next, the Minister Plenipotentiary of South Africa Horst Brammer spoke and he was followed by the Charge d’Affairs of Argentina Luiz Apiazu. Finally, representatives from the partner institutions affirmed their on-going commitment to Global Studies.
